CPrM is committed to conducting its business in compliance with applicable environmental laws and regulations.
Employees, agents and contractors will be expected at all times to carry out their responsibilities in accordance with the spirit and intent of this Policy.
To fulfil this Policy, we will amongst other efforts:
- Ensure that the vehicles and equipment we own are operated in a safe manner that protects the environment and prevents pollution.
- Ensure that contracted services provide to City Parks Services are delivered in a manner consistent with the Environmental Policy.
- Communicate this Policy to employees, contractors, customers and make it available to the public.
- Review Regularly the environmental performance of our operations and seek opportunities for improvement.
- Assess in advance the environmental effect of any significant acquisition or development.
Environmental Policy
- CPrM is committed to responsible environmental management of all operations and the minimisation of environmental impact and pollution. To ensure environmentally responsible behaviour is an integral part of our operations we are committed to:
- Assessing and managing environmental aspects and impacts to ensure risk and the Integrated Management System (IMS) is appropriate to the nature and scale of the organisation’s activities.
- Emphasis is placed on continuous improvement, environmental protection and ecological sustainability in everything we do.
- Compliance with environmental legislation, regulations, guidelines, codes of practice and customer requirements.
- Ensuring our management, supervisors, employees, subcontractors are aware of and comply with their environmental responsibilities as detailed in the Roles and Responsibilities procedure these responsibilities and are integrated into decision making and work practices
- Actively pursue opportunities to manage environmental impacts by reducing, reusing, and recycling materials and resources where possible
- Assessing purchasing decisions to reduce environmental impacts at purchase
- Regular communication of our environmental initiatives to our board, customers, shareholders, employees, subcontractors and the circulation of this Policy on the intranet.
- Communication of this Policy to all Programmed Maintenance Services personnel and contractors during their induction to the business.
- To ensure that sufficient resources are provided to meet set environmental objectives and targets.
